What is wIPphone™?
wIPphone is the name of our Internet telephony service. Using any of our wIPphone products, you can place and receive calls from any regular or wIPphone in the world through the Internet using VoIP (Voice over IP) technology. To try our service free of charge, simply download our X-PRO SoftPhone product from this website and evaluate the quality and features of our service for yourself. Then, when you are ready to sign up for the service, you can choose from our many different products and calling plans.

How to dial a telephone number using wIPphone ?
To call a wIPphone user, just dial his/her 10-digit wIPphone number.
To call a mobile or landline, just dial :
00+country code+telephone number
Don't forget that as a wIPphone user, you make calls as if you were in USA, therefore to call France from France :
00 33 followed by the telephone number without the initial zero.
Calling USA from USA is considered as a local call, therefore it is not necessary to dial 011 or 00. The telephone number alone is dialed.

How can I view and manage my account information online?
Login to the website by entering your Username and Password in the upper right hand corner of the homepage. You will be brought to a section of the website that will give such options as Show your calls, Recharge your account, Update your profile, Show my transactions, etc.

When I have finished signing up, how will I receive my Username and Password?
As soon as you finish the registration process, you will receive a welcome email with your Username (wIPphone number) and Password. If you do not receive it after 30 minutes, please contact customer service or your local wIPphone distributor.

What Internet connections does wIPphone work with? Will it work with dialup?
wIPphone has been tested successfully with different types of broadband Internet connections, such as Cable, DSL, ADSL, etc. And, yes, our service works with dialup Internet when using our WP25 or WP50 wIPphone products.

Is there a difference between using Cable or DSL when using wIPphone?
No, both Cable and DSL services provide sufficient broadband Internet access bandwidth to support our wIPphone service.

What equipment do I need in order to use wIPphone?
Other than a PC, no additional equipment is necessary to use our X-PRO SoftPhone. Simply download our X-PRO oftPhone from this website, sign up, and you are ready to go. Although for better quality it is recommended to use a headset instead of a microphone and speakers, it is not necessary. As far as our other wIPphone products, the only equipment you will need is a regular, analog phone.

Do I need a static (fixed) IP address to use wIPphone (WP100/WP200)?
The answer depends on the type of network you are connected to. Most residential networks are set up using DHCP (you automatically receive an IP address when you turn on your computer), which is how the WP100 and WP200 units are sent out. You must find out from your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or network administrator whether it is necessary to reconfigure your unit to have a static/fixed IP address. If so, you can easily do so through a very simple, web interface.

Can I use the WP100 or WP200 and browse the Internet on my PC at the same time?
Yes, with the WP100 you just plug your PC into the WP100 (which has a built-in router) and then connect the WP100 to the Internet modem. This allows you to both talk over the Internet with your WP100 and access the Internet through your PC, both at the same time. The same is true with the WP200, except that you will need to connect both the PC and the WP200 to a router since it doesn’t have a built-in router.

What action does the "reset" button perform on the WP100 and WP200?
Never press the "reset" button unless instructed to by our technicians. This will just erase the user-modifiable configuration values which might sometimes be necessary if so decided by a qualified technician.
